RACHEL

Ketch for 8 guests in 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins all en-suite, wonderful teak interior, wide saloon, crew of 4 and naturalistic guide. Very well-equipped, air conditioning in each ambience, perfect to keep in touch with the wild nature of Galapagos Islands.
These islands, paradise of evolution, are situated 1.000 kilometres far from Ecuador coastal line, in Pacific Ocean. Of volcanic origin and crossed by equator, they form one of the most famous national parks in the world, thanks to their unique characteristics.
Galapagos Islands consist in 13 main islands, 6 smaller islands and 41 islets.
Created by strong eruptions, each of them is exactly the invisible top of a gigantic volcan, 3000 metres towards the ocean bottom, that makes islands look like moon surface.
However the main attraction is the existence of many endemic species of flora and fauna, that makes them the perfect destination for nature lovers travellers. In Galapagos Islands animals learned not to be afraid of human beings; symbolicals of the archipelago are tortoises. There are 11 subspecies of gigantic tortoise (Galapagos), marine and terrestrial iguanas, penguins and 13 species of finches, the famous birds studied by Darwin for his evolution theory. Are endemic many species of cactus too, plains and trees of four different colours.
In the end marine life is fascinating to explore in all its places and perfect reefs. Many beaches are ideals for diving or simply for swimming together with sea-lions and rays.
