Day 1 – Procida
Leave Naples behind for the compact lanes and working harbours of Procida, roughly 12 nautical miles away. Begin with a swim near Chiaiolella or along the island’s southern shore, then go ashore at Marina Corricella, where fishing boats sit beneath a stepped line of pastel houses. Late afternoon suits the climb to Terra Murata and the Abbazia di San Michele Arcangelo, with views across the Gulf of Naples. Return aboard for dinner at anchor or take a table close to the water before an unhurried first night.
Day 2 – Ischia
A short passage of about 8–10 nautical miles leads from Procida to Ischia. Approach the eastern side beneath Castello Aragonese, the stone fortress linked to Ischia Ponte by a causeway, then anchor for a morning swim or continue towards the quieter south coast. Sant’Angelo works well for a late lunch ashore, while the nearby bay of Sorgeto is known for naturally heated water along the rocky shoreline. Moor for the evening and let the island’s thermal character set a slower rhythm after the first full day under sail.
Day 3 – Capri
Set out early for Capri, around 18–22 nautical miles from Ischia depending on the chosen departure bay. The morning light is ideal for rounding Punta Carena and passing beneath the island’s limestone walls before swimming off Marina Piccola with the Faraglioni in view. Conditions permitting, the captain can time a tender visit towards the Blue Grotto outside the busiest period. Lunch may be arranged at a waterside club, followed by an afternoon ashore in Capri town or Anacapri. Return to the yacht for sunset south of the island.
Day 4 – Minori
Cross from Capri to Minori on the mainland, a passage of roughly 20–24 nautical miles. After arrival, the yacht can hold offshore while guests tender to the town’s small waterfront. Minori’s Roman Maritime Villa preserves mosaics and architectural remains from the first century AD, a specific counterpoint to the day’s time at sea. Lunch should include a stop for local lemon-based pastries before a shaded walk through the centre. Later, swim from the yacht as the afternoon traffic leaves the coast, then dine aboard or ashore near the promenade.
Day 5 – Vietri sul Mare
Sail east along the coast to Vietri sul Mare, approximately 7–9 nautical miles from Minori. The town marks the eastern gateway to the Amalfi Coast and is recognised for hand-painted ceramics, from workshop pieces to the tiled dome of the Church of San Giovanni Battista. Go ashore in the morning before the heat builds, then return for lunch on deck. The afternoon can be reserved for swimming near Marina di Vietri or exploring the nearby coastline by tender, followed by an evening mooring chosen with the captain according to conditions.
Day 6 – Amalfi
Turn west for Amalfi, about 9 nautical miles from Vietri sul Mare. Arriving by sea reveals the town’s compact frontage before the streets narrow behind the harbour. Visit the Duomo di Sant’Andrea and its striped façade, then walk through the former maritime republic’s historic centre before returning to the tender. A late lunch on board gives time for a swim away from the busiest landing area. In the evening, take a reserved table ashore or remain on deck as the lights gather around the harbour and the surrounding valley darkens.
Day 7 – Positano
Only 6–7 nautical miles separate Amalfi and Positano, so the day can begin with a leisurely breakfast and a swim en route. Approach beneath the vertical line of houses above Spiaggia Grande, then tender ashore before midday for boutiques, galleries and the Church of Santa Maria Assunta. A broker-arranged lunch or beach-club reservation avoids relying on last-minute availability. By late afternoon, return to the yacht for quieter water and a view that works best from offshore. The captain will select an anchorage or nearby berth according to swell and forecast.
Day 8 – Li Galli
The Li Galli islets lie only a few nautical miles southwest of Positano, forming a small private archipelago between the Amalfi Coast and Capri. This is a water-led day rather than a town visit: arrive early, when traffic is lighter, and anchor only where permitted and safe under the captain’s direction. Swim, paddleboard or use the yacht’s tender around the clear channels while respecting private property and navigation restrictions. Lunch is served on board with Positano behind you and Punta Campanella ahead. Continue later towards the Sorrento Peninsula for the night.
Day 9 – Nerano
Round towards Nerano and Marina del Cantone, generally 6–9 nautical miles from Li Galli depending on the previous night’s position. The bay is one of the route’s strongest lunch stops, with restaurants close to the pebble beach and small boats moving between shore and moorings. Swim in the morning, then tender in for spaghetti alla Nerano, the local pasta with courgettes associated with the village. Spend the afternoon at anchor or cruise slowly along the protected waters near Punta Campanella, always following the captain’s guidance on marine-reserve rules.
Day 10 – Sorrento
The final leg from Nerano to Sorrento is approximately 8–10 nautical miles around the peninsula. Start with a last swim beneath the limestone coast before approaching Marina Piccola, set below Sorrento’s high tufa cliffs. Go ashore for Piazza Tasso, the historic lanes and the cloister of San Francesco, or keep the morning free for a long lunch on board. The charter then continues across the bay to Marina di Stabia for disembarkation, roughly 9 nautical miles from Sorrento, with Naples and Vesuvius visible across the water in clear conditions.

July and August bring the hottest temperatures and the greatest pressure on berths, anchorages and shore reservations. Early October can be rewarding, but daylight is shorter and the route must remain flexible around forecasts and sea state.

Naples provides strong air and rail connections, while Marina di Stabia offers a practical finish after Sorrento. Most legs are deliberately moderate. Naples to Procida is about 12 nautical miles; Procida to Ischia about 8–10; Ischia to Capri around 18–22; and Capri to Minori roughly 20–24. Amalfi, Positano, Li Galli and Nerano are much closer together. Actual cruising time depends on yacht speed, wind, sea state and chosen anchorage.
A crewed sailing yacht suits guests who want meaningful time under sail and do not mind a weather-led pace. Catamarans offer deck space, stability and shallow-water flexibility, making them attractive for families. Motor yachts cover the longer island-to-mainland legs quickly and provide more control over timings. Larger gulets may operate in Italy, but availability is more limited than in the eastern Mediterranean.
The Charter Fee includes the exclusive use of the yacht, the services of the professional crew, crew wages and meals, yacht insurance, ship’s linen laundry, and all standard onboard equipment in working order. Operating expenses such as fuel, guest food and beverages, marina fees, local taxes, communications, and other charter-related expenses are not included and are covered through the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), together with any applicable VAT and delivery/redelivery fees.
It can, but shortening it requires removing stops rather than compressing every day. A seven-day version would usually focus either on the Bay of Naples islands or the central Amalfi Coast. With 12–14 days, the route can add more time at anchor, a second Capri day or further exploration west of Sorrento. No matching live variant is currently confirmed on the site.

The most natural extension is north-west through the Pontine Islands, reached beyond Ischia across the Tyrrhenian Sea, or south towards the Cilento coast and onward to the Aeolian Islands with additional charter days. These are not short add-ons: distances and weather exposure increase, so the broker and captain should design a realistic one-way route rather than force a return schedule.
